We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with our small Fundraising & Comms Team to raise funds and create more awareness of MS and Revive MS Support, across the Greater Glasgow area.

If you are interested in volunteering, please have a look at our Volunteer Policy to see our guidance about working as part of our team.  The last step is to complete an online application form which will be sent directly to our Liaison & Developement Senior Manager, Angela Feherty. Angela is available on 0141 945 3344 or via email if you would like to chat about volunteering with Revive MS Support. Below are some frequently asked questions that may help you.

The Organisation

Revive MS Support is an independent charity which provides therapies and support for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis. As a volunteer you would be working in a challenging, exciting and rewarding environment contributing to a service which provides essential support and relief for people living with a long term condition, and their carers.

What roles do you have on offer?

We have various volunteering opportunities available at Revive which include Café/kitchen assistance, building maintenance, minibus driving, helping with client activities, administration, physiotherapy assistance and fundraising support. However if you have a particular skill or talent which you think Revive could benefit from please feel free to get in touch and we can discuss it.

What skills do I require & do you offer training?

This will vary depending on the role. However if you are a good listener, get on well with others, are committed and have a bit of time to spare then you probably have the skills required. Training will be given relevant to the role. This will vary, but may include moving and handling, fire and evacuation, minibus driving & clamping, first aid and food hygiene.

Where will I be volunteering?

Volunteering opportunities will mainly be based at Revive’s centre in Govan, Glasgow. However, depending on your role you may be away from the Centre visiting venues regarding fundraising opportunities. If you are a volunteer driver this service is provided mostly at our Outreach Clinics in Glasgow and across the west of Scotland.

How much time do I need to commit?

This will vary depending on the role. For a Cafe/kitchen Assistant this could be for as little as 2-3 hour per day as often as you wish. For Physiotherapy Assistant or Driver this could be around 6 or 7 hours per day (again, as often as you wish). Our appointments work on a weekly basis so we ask that you can let us know your availability for a week at a time. All out of pocket expenses will be paid.

How do I apply?

Please contact Revive on 0141 945 3344 and ask for further information on volunteering opportunities or contact us via email at angela@revivemssupport.org.uk

All volunteering posts will be offered subject to satisfactory references and a Protection of Vulnerable Groups background check as appropriate to the role.

For more information please call us on 0141 945 3344, or use our contact form.
