On Wednesday 04 September, Diana and Laura from MS-UK will be visiting us here at Revive MS Support.
MS-UK is a small national charity supporting people affected by multiple sclerosis. They have been looking at loneliness and isolation over the past year and will be hosting a focus group here to find out more about these issues.
At the focus group they will be asking about the importance of relationships, how MS-UK might support people to feel more connected and independent and how they might raise awareness of MS.
If you would like to take part and feel able to speak about your own experiences of isolation, you can register your interest online on the MS-UK website at www.ms-uk.org/connect-focus-group-registration.
Diana and Laura will be on hand to support you at the event and subsidised travel is available. The focus group will run from 1pm to 3pm with refreshments and cake provided.
I do hope you will be able to attend and help MS-UK explore these issues as they look to develop ways of tackling loneliness and isolation in the MS community in the future.
You can find out more about MS-UK and what they do at www.ms-uk.org if you would like to.
