Friends of Revive MS is a group run by and for people who would like to support the work of Revive. Jane Butler who started the group said
“I was looking for a way to make best use of all the kind offers of help that my husband and I receive from family and friends. Often, when someone is newly diagnosed with MS, families and friends are also searching for answers. I remember when Paul was diagnosed I didn’t really know who to talk to. I think it’s really important to highlight that Revive is a great place for people to come and have a chat if they have any questions or just socialise with people who have been through the same experience. We’re also keen to help Revive in their fundraising whether it’s a coffee morning, sponsored walk or just spreading the word about their fantastic work.”
To kick off the fundraising for #thenextstep campaign, Friends of Revive MS a re holding a sponsored walk from the soon-to-be “old” centre in Maryhill to the “new” centre in Govan. It takes place on Wednesday 29 April at 12.30pm during MS Awareness Week. It’s approximately 5 miles and is suitable for wheelchair users. If you’re interested in taking part please contact Jane at firstname.lastname@example.org.
