Dobbies Braehead Staff take on Cycle Challenge for MS

26 Aug

Revive MS Support is the Local Charity of the Year for Dobbies Garden Centre, Braehead. So far, the staff have supported the charity by raising over £2,000 in-store and helped to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis and the services that the charity offers.

This Sunday, 28 August, Store Manager John Paterson, plus members of the Dobbies Braehead Staff team will be cycling round and round Millport to see how many miles they can clock up to help add to their impressive fundraising total!

John Paterson, Store Manager, Allan McDonald, Horti Supervisor and Sarah McClune, Front End Advisor of Dobbies Braehead, said: “Being part of the community is important to us, which is why each year Dobbies stores partner with a chosen charity to fundraise in-store. Our team have been excited to help introduce Revive MS Support to the neighbourhood, as they plan to move to Govan this Autumn.

“The target is at least 5o miles on Sunday to feel worthy of the sponsorship we’ve already collected!  We will be having a static bike in-store on Sunday, so that staff and customers are able to take part in the Cycle Challenge too.

Cara Thom, Fundraising and Communications Manager, Revive MS Support, said: “We have really enjoyed working with the team at Dobbies Braehead to raise essential funds and awareness! This is an exciting challenge and I’ll be at Dobbies Braehead on Sunday with some of our volunteers to encourage people to join in! Why not pop in and see us!“
