This year’s MS Week runs from 22-28 April, and isan opportunity to raise awareness of issues around MS to the public. This year, Revive will be raising awareness of the challenges people face pre-diagnosis, and the length of time that it takes to get a MS diagnosis in Scotland.
We have chosen this focus as the number of people seeking out our services for support before they have a diagnosis is increasing, and it is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. For most people, the time from experiencing the first symptom to daignosis is over 7+ years, and this can have an impact on accessing Disease Modifying Treatments (DMTs).
During MS Week we may be asking people who attend the centre to share their story with us to help us raise awareness of the issue with real life case studies.
Please contact Cara@revivemssupport.org.uk if you can help.
