A message from our CEO, Iain Morrison

Dear Clients and Supporters of Revive

I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and well.

Right now, we are all coming to terms with the devastating impact of coronavirus. At Revive, we have made the difficult decision to apply for furlough to ensure that we can get through this and continue supporting those living with MS in the future.

To qualify for this financial support, all of our services are on temporary shutdown from the 1 April, and our staff will be unable to work until such time as the Government guidance allows us to open once again.

We feel that this is the best way forward to protect all of our clients and staff, and we are confident that we can resume as normal when things calm down.

As you can imagine, the impact of COVID-19 will stretch our resources to the limit. Cancellation or postponement of our main fundraising events, along with those that our supporters hold on our behalf, will inevitably lead to a drop in crucial income. On top of this, throughout this ‘lockdown’ time, we will not be benefiting from the kind donations towards the running costs of the Centre that many of our clients and carers make.

So if you can, please donate to our Revive to Thrive Campaign. Together we will ensure the future sustainability of the charity and continue providing our vital face-to-face support services to all those living with MS.

During this time, if you need MS support and advice please contact your MS Nurse; the MS Trust or the MS Society on 0808 800 8000.

I would also strongly encourage you to join fellow clients and supporters in our Friends of Revive Group. This is a place run by our volunteers to connect with others living with MS across the Greater Glasgow area and share online important information about how to stay well during isolation, plus there might be a laugh or two to keep our spirits up at this unsettling time.

Please keep safe, follow the government guidelines and keep as active as you can.

Thinking of you all.
