Research update

The Trustees of Revive MS Support have recently given the go-ahead to three research project applications.

  • Fiona Moffat of Glasgow Caledonian Univerity has secured funding to carry out a small study looking at “Barriers and motivators to carrying out physical activity programmes in individuals with Multiple Sclerosis”.  Participants will be recruited from our outreach clinics at Douglas, Cathcart and East Kilbride.
  • Suzanne Marshall (physio with a local Community Physical Disability Team) is carrying out a survey entitled “What effect does carer strain have on the carer’s active engagement in the rehabilitation of people with MS?”
  • Sebastien Chastin of Glasgow Caledonian is carrying out a study investigating the benefits of the activPAL activity monitor for people with altered gait, with participants drawn from our Cathcart outreach.
