What support do you provide for carers?
Are you a close relative or friend of someone with Multiple Sclerosis? Chances are you are heavily involved in providing support and care on a day-to-day basis, enabling them to maintain an acceptable quality of life.
Carers of people with MS are most welcome to visit our Therapy Centre and outreach clinics, and can access all the services on offer at any time, whether they are accompanying the person they care for or on their own.
Popular options for carers include the complementary therapies we offer, namely aromatherapy and reflexology. These are a great opportunity to take an hour “out” and be pampered! Also, Revive MS Support’s counsellor is very experienced in helping people work through issues from a carer’s perspective.Carers are particularly welcome and encouraged to attend the groups for people who have been recently diagnosed with MS. Revive MS Support also runs small groups specifically for carers from time to time, enabling them to share their own issues with other carers.
Informal visits are welcome but it is a good idea to phone first to ensure someone will be free to chat with you. If you want to take things further, then simply make an appointment for an initial meeting with our MS Nurse who will be able to advise you as to how best to access our range of services.

But what about me?!
We want to support everyone affected by MS, including: -
- family members
- partners
- carers
- friends
It can feel like the focus is always on the person with the diagnosis rather than the wider circle.
Revive wants to hear from you if you are in any of the above groups. If you have any thoughts, ideas or suggestions on what we might do to help or support you, please contact Allan on 0141 945 3344 or email us. Look forward to hearing from you.
